LTC Class Information (First Time Applicants)

Our Texas License To Carry (LTC) Handgun Class is held on a Saturday, one or two times a month from 8:00AM - 12:00PM. The classes are held by appointment only. Class size is limited to provide quality training. The Texas License To Carry (LTC) Handgun License Class is a One Day Class. Application Packet are found on the Texas Department of Public Safety web site. You do not need to have the Application Packet, or be registered with the state to attend the License To Carry (LTC) Class.

The cost of the Texas  License To Carry Handgun Class is $60.00. This price includes:

• Classroom fee.

• Range fee.

• Effective March 1, 2011, DPS will require applicants to submit electronic fingerprints with original applications.

The state mandates that the LTC course be not less than 4 hours and not more than 6 hours long. Range time is not included and can take as long as needed.
